if you're thinking of buying this to add weight, it doesn't add much more weight than most leathers or synthetics. for weight, i would recommend the tennis warehouse private label leather grips at 25x1.5. even those have varying weights. i ordered 3 of those and they weighed at 30g/31g/32g. in any case, those are better for weight than this Wilson. in terms of actual installed weight, the TW weighed more by about 7-8g. happy modding.
OEHMS makes it possible: Classic tennis leather grip of highest grade. In this quality, not produced for the common market, reserved for professionals and contract players. For years, leather grips were the gold standard. However, as the game and racquet technology evolved, tennis brands introduced synthetic materials to help increase traction, comfort, sweat absorption, and reduce costs. These days, players who use a leather replacement grip install it as the base for their handle and then wrap an overgrip on top because the leather on its own can quickly become slippery.
